Chew Valley Sixth Form Building

Set within the existing school site, this building provides three modes of access and usage. Firstly and the building creates dedicated accommodation for the sixth form students and thereby creates an identity for those students within the school. Secondly, the building, with an adjoining relationship with an existing Art building allows direct expansion of studio spaces. Thirdly, in addition to the students this building has been design to allow community use of the ground floor communal space. As well as the interior spaces the design, by means of the relationship with existing structures, has created an outdoor ‘quad’ space onto which the ground floor common room opens onto.
