Creative planning has allowed this form BT exchange plot to the redeveloped to provide circa 55,000 sqft of office accommodation. Our proposals included remodelling of the existing retained building to create flexible open plan space, and also development of three ‘courtyard’ office buildings that face out onto the adjacent highway. Balancing the overall site density, issues of access and also the constraints of existing mature trees along the highway boundary required a considered approach to the site layout, which combined with a contemporary approach to the elevational treatment, has allowed this site to be successfully regenerated in a meaningful and imaginative way.
